Tucked away in Muskoka’s northern reaches near Dorset, Lake Kawagama is the largest lake in the region by surface area, spanning approximately 51 km². More remote and less traveled than the Big Three, Kawagama is known for its pristine waters, rugged Canadian Shield landscapes, and expansive shorelines. Its size and depth make it ideal for boating, swimming, and watersports, while still preserving a peaceful, uncrowded feel.
