Child's Play cottage is located on Lake Muskoka, Walker's Point area. 15 Minutes to Gravenhurst, 10 minutes to Bala and 5 minutes to both Hardy Lake Provincial Park and the Torrence Badlands.

PROPERTY
CHILD'S PLAY, with so much property to make good use of, Child's Play features level land for ample sports play and includes a basketball net among the many possible outdoor activities of tag soccer or just throwing a ball. The multi level main porch area has plenty of room for seating and dining complimented with a plush outdoor living set and plenty of umbrellas to stay in the shade or out of the rain, which has been provided in the form of classic Muskoka chairs. The property itself consists mostly of a lush lawn and a large dock at the water's edge.

INTERIOR
The screened-in Muskoka Room has seating for eight or more at a large dining room table as well as too futon couches providing for large family gatheringsThis wonderfully rustic room has wooden floors, walls and, high wooden ceilings. Iron features bring the room to life. For 2025there is a full cottage white repaint plus a full-newly renovated white kitchen and island with stainless steel appliances; blends nicely with the light wooden finishes. A breakfast table for four sits just off to the side of the kitchen. The cozy living room provides a fantastic view of the waterfront.

MAIN FLOOR
The main floor is home to a kitchen and adjacent dining space. A warm and comfortable living room with TV and a stunning view of the lake bring everything together. There is a powder room on the main floor, as well as four bedrooms including two queen bedrooms, children's bedroom with two single beds and a master queen bedroom with mirrored closet doors to create a brighter more spacious atmosphere.

This was a basic but pleasant cottage. Nice, big deck, great lawn, on the end of a bay which was nice and quiet. The access and parking was great as was the location and easy access to Gravenhurst, Port Carling and beyond. We had a great time!

Policies

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation Policy:
If the Property is for any reason not rentable prior to commencement of the Rental Period then the Guest Agreement will be null and void and all Advance Deposits will be refunded to the Guest’s credit card within 7 days of cancellation. No additional refund or damages will be paid to the Guest or Guests.

Cancellation Policy by Guest:
For rentals under $20,000/week, a Guest may cancel the agreement 150 days or more prior to the start of the rental period and the deposit will be returned, less a fee of $2,000/week of reservation. For rentals between $20,000/week and $40,000/week, a Guest may cancel the agreement 150 days or more prior to the start of the rental period and the deposit will be returned, less a fee of $4,000/week of reservation. For rentals over $60,000/week, a Guest may cancel the agreement 150 days or more prior to the start of the rental period and the deposit will be returned, less a fee of $6,000/week of reservation.

If the Guest cancels the agreement 61 to 149 days prior to the start of the rental, all deposits will be forfeited.
If the Guest cancels the agreement less than 60 days before the start of the rental agreement, the Guest is responsible for the full amount of the rent and is not entitled to any refund.

Cancellation Policy on Concierge Services: Full refund on deposits made 31 days or more prior to arrival. For cancellation of concierge service for arrivals less than 31 days away, all deposits will be forfeited.

Deposit Policy

Deposit Policy: 50% of Rental Amount is due at time of booking.  If your rental's arrival date is greater than 6 months from the booking date, the 25% is due upon booking and 25% is due 6 months prior to the commencement of the rental.  Balance of payment is due 60 days prior to arrival. Please note that there is a $250 penalty associated with late payment of the balance between 59-46 days prior to the commencement of the rental that will be charged to your credit card. At 45 days prior to the rental, Jayne's Cottages is entitled to treat the booking as cancelled as per below.

Security Deposit Policy:
Security Deposit: The Security Deposit is calculated as 40% of the peak season weekly rental rate for 1 week rentals and 25% of the total rental value if the reservation is longer than 2 weeks. If the rental period is not in the peak season, there is a minimum security deposit that will be applied.

Payment Fees:
Credit Card - If you are paying with credit card, the service fee for AMEX is 3.8% and Mastercard/VISA is 3%.
Wire - If you are paying via wire transfer, the service fee is $17 per wire.

Jayne's Cottages is entitled to treat the booking of any Guest as cancelled in the event that: a) the Guest gives written notification of cancellation; b) the Guest fails to pay the full deposit due or the balance of rent by the time specified above. In the event that the booking is so cancelled, Jayne's Cottages may re-book the property for the period concerned or for part of that period.

LAST MINUTE BOOKINGS
Bookings made within 24 hours of arrival will be charged an additional $1,000 Booking Fee.
Bookings made within 48 hours of arrival will be charged a $500 Booking Fee.
