Marco Island offers the best of both worlds - the privacy of living on your own private island, and a location so close to mainland that it's practically swimmable. Right in the heart of Beaumaris on Lake Muskoka, Marco Island is only minutes from Beaumaris marina by boat. Once on mainland, Port Carling and Bracebridge are only 10 minutes drive.

MARCO ISLAND has been landscaped in such a way as not to compromise the natural beauty and rich history of the area. Exceptional flagstone walkways and steps throughout the property, which is comprised of a mixture of open sun as well as shaded areas. Located only a stone's throw from mainland, Marco Island is a landmark in and of itself. Known for its vibrant history, dating back to it's origins in 1879, Marco Island so elegantly combines the charm and nostalgia of old Muskoka with the luxury and comfort of modern near-north vacationing. Beautiful island vistas from all bedrooms! This spacious property boasts three separate docks - a south-facing, a west-facing, and a south-east facing main dock, along with a sandy play area for children. The Estate is comprised of three separate buildings, each with living accommodations. The stately main cottage is equipped with 10 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms, while the Guest Cottage and Boathouse have 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom each.

The main cottage, which is divided into two separate wings, is located on the southern end of the island. Featuring grand principle rooms, maple floors, a timeless basswood interior and a historic wicker clad sunroom. The Servant's Wing is equipped with four bedrooms and a shared 3-piece bathroom. There is a King bedroom, two Double bedrooms, and a bedroom with 1 Twin bed in the Servant's Wing. The additional six bedrooms are located in the Main Hall Wing; three of these bedrooms are complete with their own ensuite bathrooms, while the rest of the bedrooms share two 3-piece bathrooms. The first bedroom in the Main Hall is equipped with two Twin beds and a 2-pc ensuite bathroom. The second is a Queen bedroom with a full 3-pc ensuite bathroom, and the third is a Queen bedroom with a 2-pc ensuite bathroom. The remaining three bedrooms in the Main Hall Wing are all complete with 2 Twin beds, although one bedroom has extra long Twin beds, and another has 1 Twin bed + 1 bed that is slightly larger than a Twin, but not quite a Double.
The Guest Cottage provides the perfect living accommodations for a second or multi-generational family, equipped with three bedrooms and one full bathroom. There are 2 Twin bedrooms & 1 Queen bedroom in the guest cottage that share a 3-piece bathroom (with tub).
A dream for boat collectors, the 3 bedroom boathouse is complete with multiple long boat slips, specifically designed to house antique vessels. The upstairs living accommodations offer 1 Queen bedroom, 1 Double bedroom, and 1 Twin bedroom, as well as a full 3-piece bathroom.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation Policy by Agency -
If the Cottage Property is for any reason not rentable prior to commencement of the Rental Period then the Guest Agreement will be null and void and all Advance Deposits will be refunded to the Guest’s credit card within 7 days of cancellation. No additional refund or damages will be paid to the Guest or Guests.

Cancellation Policy by Guest -
Guest may cancel the agreement before150 days prior to the start of the rental period, the deposit will be returned less a fee of $2000 per week of reservation if rental is under $20,000 per week. For rentals at $20,000 and over, the cancellation fee is $4000/week of rental. If the Guest cancels the agreement 61 to 149 days prior to the start of the rental all deposits will be forfeited. If the Guest cancels the agreement less than 60 days before the start of the rental agreement the Guest is responsible for the full amount of the rent and is not entitled to any refund.

Cancellation Policy on Concierge Services - Full refund on deposits made 31 days or more prior to arrival. For cancellation of concierge service for arrivals less than 31 days away, all deposits will be forfeited.

Deposit Policy

Deposit Policy - 50% of Rental Amount is due at time of booking.  If your rental's arrival date is greater than 6 months, the 25% is due upon booking and 25% is due 6 months prior to the commencement of the rental.  Balance of payment is due 60 days prior to arrival. Please note that there is a $250 penalty associated with late payment of the balance between 59-46 days prior to the commencement of the rental that will be charged to your credit card. At 45 days prior to the rental, Jayne's Cottages is entitled to treat the booking as cancelled as per below.

Jayne's Cottages is entitled to treat the booking of any Guest as cancelled in the event that: a) the Guest gives written notification of cancellation; b) the Guest fails to pay the full deposit due or the balance of rent by the time specified above. In the event that the booking is so cancelled, Jayne's Cottages may re-book the property for the period concerned or for part of that period.

Bookings made within 24 hours of arrival will be charged an additional $1000 Booking Fee.
Bookings made within 48 hours of arrival will be charged a $500 Booking Fee.
