Enjoy the surrounding area where you can safely and peacefully walk, run and bike. Quiet, yet somewhat hilly cottage roads lead guests in from Stanley House Road off of Peninsula Road - just outside of Port Carling.
PROPERTY
PICTURE PERCH - At the lakeside boathouse, enjoy sunrises and sunsets, bathe in the full sun, or seek shade from tall pines and extensive gardens surrounding the cottage. These gardens were designed by Windermere Gardens.
This property has it all! This cottage boasts many natural outdoor sitting areas. The Boathouse deck is the one of the most cherished areas to enjoy on this property. Watch the sunrise or bathe in the sun on one of the eight lounge chairs. When it gets too hot, seek shade under the umbrella table and chairs. Perfect spot to enjoy dinner while watching the setting sun.
The deck outside of the Games Room has a hammock chair, 2 rocking chairs and a second fire pit.
At the water's edge, there is a little moat surrounding the back of the boathouse. The steps lead into the water and has a sandy-bottom, ankle depth deep. This is great for the young and young-at-heart who prefer to walk into the water which slopes gradually to over 15 feet deep at the end of the boathouse. There is also a ladder at the end of the dock where one can enter the deep water. Have no concern while swimming in the crystal clear water in this private bay.
Great fishing can happen off the end of the dock! There are 2 Gas BBQs, one on the top deck and one on lower deck outside the Games Room.
INTERIOR
The cottage opens to a wall of windows overlooking the water. Indoor cottage features includes an open concept Great Room/Dining Room and a fun Games Room. Extensive floor to ceiling stone fireplace that extends down to the Games Room and fireplaces. The Muskoka Room is close to the kitchen and is very convenient as it has the dining room behind with table and chairs - and portable heater should the evening be chilly. A Flat Screen TV is in Great Room. There is a large DVD collection, Nintendo, and Wii video games. The Games Room has all the fun when the weather is poor or the sun is long gone! Pool Table, Shuffle Board and a Games Table with popular board games. In addition, the lower level includes a bar fridge, sink, bar stools, and sauna!
