AREA
Strawberry Lane is a cottage located on Stephens Bay in Bracebridge, Ontario. This cottage offers total privacy, and easy access to amenities. Just a 12-minute drive from the heart of Bracebridge, guests can stock up on supplies or explore local shops and attractions without the hassle of a long drive.
PROPERTY
Guests will find ample parking space upon arrival, as well as peace and privacy, courtesy of the surrounding woods. At the reverse side of the cottage guests will discover not only a truly breathtaking view, but a labyrinth of lush gardens and carefully-laid stone steps that carve a path toward Stephens Bay. The cottage rests like a decoration on its heavily-wooded hill, allowing for an excellent vantage point that overlooks the bay. Along the 220' of frontage, guests can make use of a boat slip and covered deck. There is even a waterslide, for the young and young at heart. 
INTERIOR
During the daylight hours, the interior of the Strawberry Lane is flooded with natural light due to its southern exposure. The tall cathedral ceilings and wide open-concept design bring a sense of outdoors-y space to the Great Room. It's the warm, natural tones of the interior that really draw you in and provide a sense of coziness amidst the ample space.
MAIN FLOOR
The open floorplan moves from room to room seamlessly. There is a total of three fireplaces inside the cottage, two of which are wood-burning, while a third is gas. A grand stone fireplace ties the entire Great Room together, while across the room, guests will find dining for eight by the light of another huge window. The kitchen, with which features bar-style seating and a marble topped island, also comes equipped with a gas stove and TV. 
Beside the Great Room is another grand entertaining/TV room with a fireplace for conversation and a sitting area with large flatscreen.
UPPER FLOOR
The upper floor begins with a balcony overlooking the great room, with a birds eye view of the lower portion of the cottage and a view of the bay though the tall main floor window. The cottage boasts a full six bedrooms, two of which are master bedrooms complete with an accompanying balcony (with view of bay) and ensuite bathroom. In addition to the two ensuite bathrooms, there are three more full bathrooms in the cottage.
WALK-OUT BASEMENT
With so much natural light to fill this warm and cozy space, guests will likely forget they've settled below the cottages main floor. Comfortable furniture and a large ground level entrance, make this basement feel warm and welcoming. The perfect place for a cool afternoon nap, or a game of cards with family and friends.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellation Policy by Agency - If the cottage is struck by disaster prior to the start date then the contract will be null and void and payments refunded.

Cancellation Policy by Guest -
Guest may cancel the agreement before150 days prior to the start of the rental period, the deposit will be returned less a fee of $2000 per week of reservation, if rental is under $20,000 per week. For rentals at $20,000 and over, the cancellation fee is $4000/week of rental. If the Guest cancels the agreement 61 to 149 days prior to the start of the rental all deposits will be forfeited. If the Guest cancels the agreement less than 60 days before the start of the rental agreement the Guest is responsible for the full amount of the rent and is not entitled to any refund.

Deposit Policy
Deposit Policy - 50% of Rental Amount is due at time of booking, 25% if booked the calendar year prior to the rental and 25% on January 1 of the rental year. Balance of payment is due 60 days prior to arrival. Please note that there is a $250 penalty associated with late payment of the balance between 59-46 days prior to the commencement of the rental that will be charged to your credit card. At 45 days prior to the rental, Jayne's Cottages is entitled to treat the booking as cancelled as per below.

Jayne's Cottages is entitled to treat the booking of any Guest as cancelled in the event that: a) the Guest gives written notification of cancellation; b) the Guest fails to pay the full deposit due or the balance of rent by the time specified above. In the event that the booking is so cancelled, Jayne's Cottages may re-book the property for the period concerned or for part of that period.

We really enjoyed the stay. There was a slight worry originally when Torrance Castle wasn’t available anymore but Jayne and the team handled it very well and we were very content with the cottage that was substituted instead. Kudos to Jayne and the team for always making it work for us!
Festive getaway by New Guest 12/23/2017
Heidi provided excellent service. The driveway was cleared the day that we arrived and the day that we left. We were pleasantly surprised to find an assembled Christmas tree with lights and a festive center piece on the dining table. We enjoyed our Christmas weekend in Muskoka. The cottage had lovely views, and the wood burning fireplace was wonderful. It was a peaceful and restful stay.
