This cottage is located in Port Carling on Lake Muskoka, just 10 minutes from town and 15 minutes from Bala. Just over 2 hours from Toronto.
Between Bala and Port Carling, there are many restaurants, marinas, and attractions to choose from. Mortimer’s Marina is the closest to the cottage, just minutes away. Guests can choose whether they would like to explore the beauty of Muskoka by visiting the nature trails at the Hardy Lake Provincial Park, grabbing some home made baked goods and treats at Don’s Bakery or shopping at a number of stores and boutiques. Guests can have it all!
PROPERTY
WINGBERRY is a south facing cottage that offers lots of beautiful landscaping, flowers and greenery along this multi-leveled property. As guests arrive at the cottage, they will see a levelled area directly in front that has some chairs with a fire pit. The pizza oven and smoker are here as well so guests can enjoy a delicious meal by the fire. To the right of the cottage is a grassy area that is perfect for kids to play on the netted trampoline. The upper level deck that directly faces the water provides guests with a breathtaking view, direct line BBQ and ample outdoor seating. There is a lounge chair, chairs with small tables, and a high bar set for 4 that comes with a table and umbrella. As guests travel down towards the boathouse using the stone step way, they will find a hammock nestled in by the trees; the perfect place for an afternoon nap!
Further to the right of the property is where you will find a small beach area with shallow entry into the water. There is a paved seating area with 4 Muskoka chairs and an umbrella for the guests that would like to relax in the shade. Guests can also enjoy this area at night with a small fire pit that is built into the stone wall - perfect for marshmallow roasting! Heading back towards the boathouse, guests will discover an outdoor seating area that is always shaded, underneath the upper level deck. There are also 4 Muskoka chairs and additional seating that are provided for guests wanting to sit on the dock.
As guests take the stairs up to the boathouse, there is a spacious upper deck area that gets lots of sun - perfect for sunbathing! For added fun, there is a gate door that opens for jumping! Plenty of places to dock your boat, including 1 exterior covered slip. Continuing along the dock, guests will find an exterior hot tub beside the additional boathouse. Travelling up the stairs towards the guesthouse, guests will find a loveseat swing set along the way. Heading down the gravel pathway, there is a deck at the guesthouse that provides ample outdoor seating as well!

Cancellation Policy
Cancellation Policy by Agency -
If the Cottage Property is for any reason not rentable prior to commencement of the Rental Period then the Guest Agreement will be null and void and all Advance Deposits will be refunded to the Guest’s credit card within 7 days of cancellation. No additional refund or damages will be paid to the Guest or Guests.
Cancellation Policy by Guest -
Guest may cancel the agreement before150 days prior to the start of the rental period, the deposit will be returned less a fee of $2000 per week of reservation if rental is under $20,000 per week. For rentals at $20,000 and over, the cancellation fee is $4000/week of rental. If the Guest cancels the agreement 61 to 149 days prior to the start of the rental all deposits will be forfeited. If the Guest cancels the agreement less than 60 days before the start of the rental agreement the Guest is responsible for the full amount of the rent and is not entitled to any refund.
Cancellation Policy on Concierge Services - Full refund on deposits made 31 days or more prior to arrival. For cancellation of concierge service for arrivals less than 31 days away, all deposits will be forfeited.
Deposit Policy
Deposit Policy - 50% of Rental Amount is due at time of booking. If your rental's arrival date is greater than 6 months, the 25% is due upon booking and 25% is due 6 months prior to the commencement of the rental. Balance of payment is due 60 days prior to arrival. Please note that there is a $250 penalty associated with late payment of the balance between 59-46 days prior to the commencement of the rental that will be charged to your credit card. At 45 days prior to the rental, Jayne's Cottages is entitled to treat the booking as cancelled as per below.
Jayne's Cottages is entitled to treat the booking of any Guest as cancelled in the event that: a) the Guest gives written notification of cancellation; b) the Guest fails to pay the full deposit due or the balance of rent by the time specified above. In the event that the booking is so cancelled, Jayne's Cottages may re-book the property for the period concerned or for part of that period.
LAST MINUTE BOOKINGS
Bookings made within 24 hours of arrival will be charged an additional $1000 Booking Fee.
Bookings made within 48 hours of arrival will be charged a $500 Booking Fee.
