Located at the north end of Lake Joseph, where there is little boat traffic and lots of privacy your view across the lake is of similar large luxury cottages. Drive through the stone entry down a paved driveway to a beautiful 6000' lakefront property. A turret style "Muskoka room" and tree fort are in good company among the other thoughtfully places structures on this large and uniquely private property. Stone walkways and huge deck spaces spread provide areas to unwind and play, to sunbathe, cook and simply enjoy the one of a kind views and small in ground pool. A raised vegetable garden as well as a herb garden that grows a variety of herbs (peppermint, spearmint, sage, lavender etc.) allows for the use of fresh ingredients. A tree fort with a zip-line attachment rests on the property and is always a big hit with the kids!
Lake Joe Wonderland does an excellent job of combining the warmth of tradition and the benefits of a modern build. High ceilings and ample natural light bring this simple, yet elegant interior to life from the moment you walk inside. Hardwood floors and a large stone fireplace compliment the simple, yet functional and spacious kitchen perfectly. Accents of stainless steel and clean white finishes bring a modern appeal to the kitchen, while area rugs provide a cozy cottagey feel to even the larger living spaces.
The Great Room takes advantage of high ceilings and tall windows to have a powerful command of the overall cottage. The south sunlight provide a smoky ambience through the South Beach style ceiling to floor sheers.The oversized furniture fits in beautifully with the room's commanding stature. A spacious modern kitchen features a large Subzero side by side unit, as well as another full size Subzero fridge located in the prep room. There is ample prep and cooking space, with a central island that seats five and features a small sink. A larger farm style sink is located on the counter. The large utility area features double washer dryer, bar fridge and Ice-maker, Miele built in espresso machine, another sink and extra dishwasher. The family room is framed by three large couches and a large wall mounted flat screen TV. There is seating for twelve at the Dining Table and a main floor powder room.
The upper level of Lake Joe Wonderland makes further use of natural lighting in each of the 5 bedrooms. The theme of hardwood textures mixed with clean white finishes is continued throughout the upper areas as well. The second floor features at one end of the hall a second Master wing, king bedroom with full ensuite, at the other end a Guest Family Wing, featuring 2 bedooms, one with 2 double beds and the other one with a Queen bedroom and gas fireplace. The middle bedrooms are for the children, the Boys Room features 3 Double beds and additional Wall bed and the Girls Room has 3 single beds and a Wall Bed. Cancellation Policy by Agency - If the cottage is struck by disaster prior to the start date then the contract will be null and void and payments refunded.
Cancellation Policy by Guest -
Guest may cancel the agreement 150 days prior to the start of the rental period, the deposit will be returned less a fee of $2000 per week of reservation. If the Guest cancels the agreement 61 to 149 days prior to the start of the rental all deposits will be forfeited. If the Guest cancels the agreement less than 60 days before the start of the rental agreement the Guest is responsible for the full amount of the rent and is not entitled to any refund.

Deposit Policy - 50% of Rental Amount is due at time of booking, 25% if booked the calendar year prior to the rental and 25% on January 1 of the rental year. Balance of payment is due 60 days prior to arrival. Please note that there is a $250 penalty associated with late payment of the balance between 59-46 days prior to the commencement of the rental that will be charged to your credit card. At 45 days prior to the rental, Jayne's Cottages is entitled to treat the booking as cancelled as per below.
Jayne's Cottages is entitled to treat the booking of any Guest as cancelled in the event that: a) the Guest gives written notification of cancellation; b) the Guest fails to pay the full deposit due or the balance of rent by the time specified above. In the event that the booking is so cancelled, Jayne's Cottages may re-book the property for the period concerned or for part of that period.
