Room for the Entire Family – and More!

Many of Jayne’s vacation homes are large enough to accommodate multiple families, or multiple generations of your family – which only enhances your vacation! Getting to be close to your friends and family while on the water is a great way to enjoy Muskoka. Though… just because you want to vacation with your friends and family, doesn’t mean you want to vacation WITH them, if you know what I mean. 

Jayne’s vacation homes feature many options that will help give you and your family members a little privacy space. For example, Big Chill comes with a Main House, THREE Bunkies, and a Boathouse – all with accommodations! Whether it’s giving the teenagers a Bunkie to stay up late in, or the Boathouse for grandparents who like to sleep in, there are many properties than can offer an abundance of private spaces for your group!

Some of our properties, such as Land Before Time, have separate wings which allow you to share the Main House with your family members while still giving them their own space at night. Each of your family members can claim a wing of the house and meet in the middle for meals and late night movies!

 

Boathouses are not just for storing your boats! Take Malibu on Simcoe for example, you will see a spectacular second home over the water! This provides a full second space for your multifamily group to enjoy, while allowing each to have their own space. If two fully equipped homes are not enough, this property also features a Coach House, allowing three families to enjoy their own space! 

 

Guest Cottages and Coach Houses are another great way to secure a distinctly separate space in your vacation home. If you are looking for the perfect multi-generational home, look no further than Frog’s Leap. It has a beautiful two-bedroom Coach House above the garage in addition to the Main House AND Boathouse. It also features a giant dock for your group to come together and enjoy. Frog’s Leap is all flat land which means it’s great for your older and youngest guests!

When you are looking for your next vacation rental with Jayne’s, be sure to keep your eye out for these additional buildings. Pay close attention to the descriptions as what one person calls a ‘Bunkie’ might end up being an entire extra house on another property! While some Bunkie’s don’t include bathrooms, others have multiple bedrooms and bathrooms – it just depends on the property.
